Personalized Individual Coaching and Consultation

Lynn provides individual coaching and consultation to help clients develop and implement strategies of enhanced business performance and/or personal satisfaction.

Through an interactive and developmental coaching process, Lynn helps her clients pursue strategies and solutions designed to move them towards the attainment of defining and accomplishing professional and personal goals. She respects, acknowledges, and protects the vulnerability and confidentiality of each client, while constructively holding clients to high standards of self-responsibility and self-accountability.

Lynn is a member of and certified by the International Coach Federation, the professional certifying organization for coaches. She upholds the International Coach Federation Code of Ethics.

As coach and consultant, Lynn will at times offer direct suggestions, advice, recommendations and specific business strategies that may help or interest her clients. Any and all behavior a client takes is up to the client alone, and Lynn assigns responsibility of action to her clients completely.

If, at any time, you as the client feel that your needs are not being met or you are not getting what you want out of the individual coaching, please tell Lynn so you can discuss your needs and adjust your coaching program, end coaching or be referred to a coach who might better serve your goals.

Coaching is scheduled at the mutual convenience of the coach and the client. The day and time for the next call will be confirmed at the close of each coaching session. Distance coaching is paid by credit card. Services in addition to coaching calls will be billed at a prorated hourly rate agreed in advance. Most business coaching sessions are monthly or bi-monthly, but also can be scheduled on an as-needed basis.

In most cases, Lynn’s clients initiate the call to Lynn at the pre-arranged time and telephone number as scheduled, and pay any telephone charges for the call. Please remember that you must give 48 hours prior notice if you need to cancel or change the time of an appointment, otherwise you will be charged for the session in full. Lynn will make reasonable efforts to reschedule sessions, which are canceled in a timely manner. Either party may end the coaching relationship at any time, by giving written, email, or verbal communication of their desire to end the coaching sessions to each other.

Lynn is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW-C) and a Master Certified Coach (MCC) certified through the International Coaching Federation. She adheres to both her social work licensure and her coaching certification in regards to confidentiality. She will only release information with your written permission, or if she is required to do so by a court order.

As a psychotherapist, Lynn adheres to reporting laws. These situations rarely occur in coaching practices, but if such a situation does occur, she will make every effort to discuss it with you before taking any action.

Although during the course of your coaching, you may discuss your future plans, business affairs, customer lists, financial information, job information, goals, personal information, and other private information, Lynn will not voluntarily communicate your information to a third party.

There are some similarities between coaching and psychotherapy, but Lynn does not combine psychotherapy with coaching. She sees these as separate roles and separate conversations. Although both coaching and psychotherapy use knowledge of human behavior, motivation, behavioral change, and interactive counseling techniques, there are major differences in the goals, focus, and level of professional responsibility. In some situations, Lynn may recommend that you enter psychotherapy (with another psychotherapist or counselor) as a condition of continuing coaching.
